Welcome packs

Everyone who moves into the Village is given a welcome pack which contains a useful leaflet about what goes on in the Village, a magazine , aletter from the Vicar and a welcome card . So if you would like a pack or know of someone who would like on you can e mail the request.

Parish News

This is a magazine which is printed and distributed by the church. It contains articles about village activities and advertises village events.

Local businesses pay to advertise. The cost per advert depends on the size. The magazine is non profit making and subscriptions are £6 per year and is delivered free of charge to anyone in the village or £12 for postal copies.

There are 10 copies per year (no copy in January and August).

Positive parenting CourseAn excellent 8 week course to help all parents (and anyone working with children) to ENJOY their children more and to be more EFFECTIVE

 Beginner's Bible Study Group

 2nd and 4th Monday 2-3pm at The Piggeries- Animal Farm, Mill Lane, Staple
(not far from Staple Village Hall on the other side of the road)

This is particularly aimed at anyone who finds studying the bible difficult and does not know just where to start. The aim is to do this in a fun and informal way where no question will be to basic. This is being taken by Margaret Maxwell who by this simple approach will build up people confidence so that they will grow to love the bible as she does and draw strength and inspiration from God's Word.

Pastoral Care Team

This is a dedicated group of people who regularly meet to pray for anyone in need. They occasionally have speakers connected with their work and offer practical help and advise. This help can be anything from friendship to transport to hospital. For urgent need please contact

Men's Fellowship

A very active and friendly group that meets on the 4th Wednesday in the month at 7.30pm in members home where there is a speaker and refreshments are served . Occasionaaly there are open meetings in the Village Hall and an outing usually in July. An Annual Dinner is held in September which is always very popular and wives are also invited.

Ladies Fellowship

This meets at the Home of Hilary Baldwin who leads the group. They are held on the 4th Wednesday in the month at 2pm.

Coffee Pot

Coffee Pot was set up so that people could meet for a cup of coffee and a chat in a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is welcome. It meets every Tuesday at 10.00.am in the Village Hall

House Group

The Home group meets on Tuesday evenings, 7:30 to 9:30, during school term in the member’s homes. The time is mainly spent in bible study along with a time of socialising, worshipping (singing and listening to worship music) and prayer. The group also provides friendship and support for each other during the week. We also meet for a social evening once a term; this includes those spouses who do not attend the Home group. Messy Church

Messy Church is a fresh approach to church for children and adults of all ages. With fun, food and friendship its an informal way of enjoying family time. Its about coming together, making things together, eating together and celebrating God together. Messy Church is colourful, creative, noisy, funny, yummy and probably sticky!

Knit and Natter

The group meets on first Wednesday of the Month at the home of Margaret Maxwell . A very friendly group that knit garments/ items for good causes while enjoying the company of others. Everything is provided and if you cannot knit Margaret would love to teach you.
